Hi Ken,
I contacted the caretaker of the Bowsman Cemetery and she is related to the Farrow family, although she did not have any information to help with your search. There are a number of unmarked graves in the Bowsman Cemetery and the records were destroyed in a fire, so there is still the possibility Margaret was buried there. I noticed she died in the RM of Swan River, which would include various smaller cemeteries. I went to the municipal office but they do not keep records. They did think that Paull's Funeral Home would have records going back that far -- they would have been the only funeral home in 1938, I think. Feel free to contact me directly at pellissd@mts.net if you want more info on the Bowsman Cemetery contact. Doreen

Hi Karen,
Mary Kemp is my first cousin. Her father & my father were brothers & her mother & my mother were sisters.
I don't recall ever meeting Mary as she's 22 years older than I am but recall my mother often talking about her. Where are Mary & Ross living now.

Hi Bunny,
I'm replying to your inquiry about Ross and Mary Kemp. Ross died a few years ago and is buried in Birch River. As far as I know Mary is still living and is in the Swan Valley Nursing home. Their son, Clayton, lives in Winnipeg and they have two daughters living in Birch River. You could maybe try to get Clayton's phone # and give him a call.

Thank you for your help. I was able to find both Margaret and her husband Samuel by this source. It seems that Margaret died at her home just north of Bowsman and is perhaps buried in Swan River in one of the unmarked graves. It is too bad that all the records were burned or I would know for sure.

The farm where they lived was just off hwy 10, 1 mile south of the big bend and 1 concession west. It is described as Part SE of section 34 of Township 38 of Range 27 of Meridian W1.I would think that Margaret would be buried in Bowsman Cemetery. Since she died befor her husband Sam while they lived there, it is likely that they are buried separately, since he died in Brandon 4 years later and is buried there.
