Obit for Peter Bordun
PETER BORDUN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Bordun, on June 29, 2001, at his residence near Sundown, MB at the age of 63 years. He was a kind brother, uncle, and friend, who left us to be with our eternal father in Heaven. Peter was born in Sirko, MB on August 22, 1937 to parents, Mary and John Bordun. He is survived by his brother Bill (Judy) of Sundown; sisters, Lillian (Bill) Kutzak of Winnipeg, and Diane Horobec of Caliento; and their families; as well as many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and John; sister Olga; brother Matt; and brother-in-law Paul. Peter lived a happy life at his home near Sundown, where he farmed and raised cattle. Peter was known for his independent nature and took pride in all he did. He made other lives joyous with his guitar music, for he played in a band for many years. He will be most admired for his kindness, strong value and belief in God. Prayers will be said on Friday, July 6, 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel followed by a memorial service on Saturday, July 7, 11:00 a.m. at the Ascension of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church at Sundown, with Rev. Fr. Ihor Royik officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. "The face we loved is missing, The voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our hearts That never can be filled. So many times weve missed you, So many times weve cried, If love could have saved you You never would have died. If all the world were ours to give Wed give It - yes and more, To see your loving smile again And greet you at our door. How oft there come before us Your dear face, kind and true; For death can never take away Our memories of you." - Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. (204) 326-1351.
