Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Do you know if the name Cowell or Green or Cook is listed in your books for Virden, Manitoba. Thanks.

Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Hi I just came across your request for the family of Green in Virden, Man. I have the book "Prairie Neighbours", 1881-1981 published by the Four Corners History Club. This book has family histories of Virden and surrounding area. There is write up on "The Greens' of Girdwood Farm" as follows: William Green of Wick, Scotland brouhgt his family [more]. James apprenticed as a blacksmith [more]. James and his wife Susan S. Zimmerman came with their family to Joslin District in 1889 [more] Seven sons and two daughters [more] There is also write ups on Edward R Cook family, Geo Cook, Enos (Ean) Cook. If these are the right families. I can email the complete write up to you, if you wish.

Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Hi Marylin, Could you do a lookup in the Strathcona_ Belmont book for the family of Wesley E. Harrison and wife Elizabeth? Thanks, Lynn

Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Hi Marilyn, I was wondering if you could look up "Harrison" in your books, specifically John and Mary Ann. I have the the "Trails & Crossroads book, but I was wondering if there was any reference to them in either of the others.
Many thanks,
Judy Johnson

Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Hi Judy, I am checking out the Harrison Family. My husband grew up south of Killarney at Lena. He says there were Harrisons at Holmfield. Will be in touch. Marilyn

Re: Some Manitoba History Books
Sounds great Marilyn. These Harrisons lived at Pancake Lake on highway 3, right near Lena and close to Holmfield. They are the ones on p. 342 of the "Trails and Crossroads" book. Sure do appreciate your looking this up. Hopefully you find something. Judy
