If anyone has the local history book, Pine Valley Echoes (Badger, Minesino, Piney) could I impose upon you to do a look up for me. Any info on:
1) Anders Petterson (probably Andrew Petterson/Peterson) and wife Albertina Wilhelmina immigrated from Sweden in 1888. Destination Emerson.
2) John and Lena (Carolina) and son Andrew Ludvig Norberg. Immigrated from Minnesota 1910 to Minesino area
Thanks for your time.

Hello rdease:
I was at a library today that has the local history about Piney, etc. There was a two-page history of your Norbergs but nothing about Petterson. Do you have the Norberg pages or do you want me to photocopy it and mail it to you? If so, I'll give you my postal address and ask you to send me a self-addressed envelope. If you're in the U.S. don't put a stamp on it but if you're in Canada, stamp the envelope.
There are a couple of photos with the history.
Kind regards, Bonnie

Pankiewich Larson Porath Wolanski
Hello bonbridge and rdease, This is my first foray into researching. I have family ties to Piney, Vita and the Tolstoi/Gardenton areas. I just found out about "Pine Valley Echoes" and tried finding it online but only came across copies in Canadian Libraries.
I've found info on Albert Frederick Porath and his father but info on Albert's wife Esther Porath (nee Larson) is hard as I'm not sure of a middle name/initial. It's been speculated that she was born in N. Dakota. I have all their children's names. Twelve siblings altogether!
Another family group I'm looking into is from the Vita, MB area. Ludwig Pankiewich Angela/Angelina/Angeline Pankiewich nee Wolansky?. I have been told Ludwig came Bukovina, Romania but haven't found any records. Again the wife is elusive as relatives aren't even sure of the spelling of her given name or if her maiden name was Wolanski, and again I do have the names of all their children.
Like I said I'm new to this will appreciate any and all help in pointing me in the right direction to find more about their histories.
