Hi Deb,
I just found this post as I was searching Whitemouth. I don't know much about using a computer but I can email.
peewee42951@gmail.com My grandmother Esther Cooke Horsburgh who moved to Moosomin, Sask. Canada as sister Mary Anne and Jim Aitkenhead lived on a farm in the area. Jane and Jack Telford her sister and brother-in-law. Margaret(Maggie) Telford came to Canada first, by herself according to Esther, she lived with Edward and Elizabeth Henderson and can be found in the 1911 Census District of Selkirk, Man. Jack Telford as he was known came to Canada with son John and daughter Christine on the same ship as his mother-in-law Sarah Cooke and dau Eleanor Cooke.8 July 1913 on the ship "Corsican". They took the CPR train to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jane Cooke Telford and the rest of the family came later that year, sorry I don't have the date handy at the moment. They went to Whitemouth and I presume they stayed with Elizabeth and Edward "Ted" Henderson. Florence ended up going to Moosomin and living with Esther and Alexander Horsburgh. Jane Telford was the first woman in Whitemouth to go in an airplane.
Deb, Are you in England? My questions for you is ..was Jack Telford married once before marrying Jane Cooke? The oldest daughter Margaret Telford, I can not find a birth for her and some are wondering if she was Jack's daughter and not Jane's. I have a 4 generation photo of Sarah Bell Cooke, Jane Cooke Telford, Margaret Telford Henderson and her two children Margaret and Joe Henderson. Margaret Telford married Mike Henderson the brother of Edward "Ted" Henderson.
Please email me as I may never find this site again. Carol Horsburgh Johnson
