Loryl:
I came across your posting today and the name caught my attention. I grew up in St-Pierre-Jolys, MB and there were two Tkachyks living in town - they were brother and sister. Both their names appear in your list of children for Alex. However, from the 2005 St-Pierre-Jolys parrish history book, Alex's wife is noted as Pearl Prygrocki, not May Lipischuk (could Pearl be a first or possibly a seocnd wife??) and the cocuple lived in Dufrost, Manitoba (about 12 miles from St-Pierre and south of Morris, MB).
One of the individuals listed inthe book is Nick Tkachyk, b. March 18, 1912, d. April 8, 1999. He married Fernande Lafrance, dfaughter of Adelard Lafrance & Lucia Tellier on July 22, 1944 at Holy Cross Church in winnipeg, MB. According to the info, Fernande is still living and I will therefore not note any more info on her. Four children are listed for this couple: Norman (Jeanne McKay), Louise (Ron Musick, George (1- Carol Daigle, 2-Diane Lavallee, and Tede (Linda Masyk).
The other individual that I know of is Pauline Tkachyk (sister to Nick above), as she was married to my father's uncle. The only info I have onher is that she was born in Dufrost, MB, was the widow of a man by the last name Collins when she married my great uncle Leo Lambert in 1980 (both were in their 60s or 70s at the time), and that she died on March 15, 1996.
There is also an obituary for a brother of theirs named Jacob published inthe Winnupeg Free Press that you can view online.
I don't know if this helps you.
