his marriage cert (St John, New Burnswick)say his parents are Albert Bromley and Jessie Richbourne, Searched for Albert and Jessie and they appear to be from Lancashire but don't see them with son Albert or Edward in 1911 census

You may have to wait for the release of the 1931 Canada census to see if he is still in Canada..

They are in Saint John, New Brunswick in the 1921 Canadian Census indexed as Burnley. Immigrated 1919.

1927/28 Montreal Directory shows an Edward Bromley, a carpenter, living at 96 Oxford Avenue. Following year, only a Lawrence Bromley is noted.

Parish record from Anglican Trinity Memorial Chapel:

Eva Clifford, wife of Albert Bromley, painter, of the City of Montreal, Province of Quebec, died on the 7th day of November, aged 28 years, and was buried in Hawthorndale Cemetery on the 9th day of the same month in the same year AD 1928.

Albert remarries in same church:

Albert Edward Bromley, widower, painter, City of Montreal, Province of Quebec, son of Albert Bromley of Leut, England and Jessie May Richbell, his wife, and Annie Langlands Gordon, spinster, of Montreal, aforesaid, daughter of the late John Peat Gordon and of Margaret Langlands, were married under authority of license this 24th day of May AD 1930.

1931 Directory does have an Albert Bromley, a painter, living at 5864 Poupart in the City of Montreal. 1932 directory has him at 5452 Eighth Avenue. Same address in 1933, 1934, and 1935. Missing after this year.

By 1940, I find an Annie and Albert Bromley living in Toronto at 11 Raglan Avenue. He is working as a watchman. They seem to be boarders in the household.

After Eva died in 1928 Albert must have went back to England with Douglas their son for a visit. Does not give an address in England only that they were "Houseboat return - canal entrance Gravesend". Also, Jessica M. Bromley was a witness at the baptism of Douglas - his mother, father and sister Irene visited from England see below.

When Albert returned to England in 1929, he had a couple of more children with him:

Bromley, Douglas, aged 6
Bromley, Violet, aged 5
Bromley, Alice, aged 3

Albert is not listed with them, but I'm sure they didn't travel on their own. Bound for "Houseboat Return Canal Entrance, Promenade, Gravesend, Kent".
