Thank you for this. Things are starting to make sense about Justin. In 1860, the VT census referred to Mary A. Mitchell's parents being David & Martha. However, in other records, it says Martha was actually Samantha. David and Samantha Mitchell also had a daughter named Samantha who married J D Davis 14 Jan 1866 in VT.
Since Mary A. Mitchel first married David Wilson in 1848, it also makes sense that Justin who was born in 1849, was also born in Quebec as most of his records show. Mary apparantly divorced and took back her maiden name as it's recorded in the 1860 census I would imagine.
I was always wondering why Justin returned to Levis, Quebec around 1903 only until recent. He had been living for many years in Rhode Island with 2nd wife Emoroy. He left RI when she realized he was cheating on her and filed for divorce in 1903.
The docket records show he was eventually found in Levis working for the Levis County Railway.
Justin died 17 May 1906 in Levis. He is buried at Cemetery Mont-Marie.
Thanks again for tying up loose ends for me.
