Trying to find details of my Smith, Graham and Walker relatives, who left Ayrshire, Scotland and travelled to Nainiamo Island, I believe sometime in the 1890s or the first decade of the 1900s.

The Graham's were involved in the coal mining industry on Nainiamo . I believe that many of them ended up in and around Nainiamo.

I have not been able to find details of several of my Smith relatives and wonder if they ended up in Canada? There is a family story that my 2x great grandfather, John Smith, was not an easy person to live with, especially after he was left a widower with 9 children after his wife died in 1894. Apparently his brother in law, Charles Graham was already in Canada, and came back to Scotland to visit his mother. The family story is that when Charles returned he took one or more of his nephews with him to Nainiamo. We expect that some time in the next 10 or so years he took more than one of the boys with him. Thomas Graham Smith born 1879 and John Smith born 1881 are relatives who I would like to find and possibly the youngest Robert David Smith born 1892. They were all born in Ayr, Scotland

I haven't been able to find details of what happened to any of these 3 boys, in records related to Scotland, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or the US ( where others of their relatives went ).

Also looking for William Walker, their cousin, who came over to Canada with his mother Jean Graham after the death of his Grandparents. He was born in Dallmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1889 and died in 1923. He was married to Margaret and had 2 sons, William and Gordon. Also arriving in Canada with them was his brother Charles Graham

Seeking contact with descendants of any of these people.
