A. W. JOHNSON

Native of New Zealand and resident of Toronto since childhood.
ALFRED WOLFE JOHNSON, 83, retired carpenter died yesterday at the home of his daughter
50 Coxwell Avenue. He was an Anglican.
Surviving are *four daughters,
MRS. J. BENNETT, Port Huron, MI
MRS. JOHN DACK and
MRS. D. HARDY of Vancouver, B.C. and one *brother, WILLIAM JOHNSON of Toronto.
* son, not brother. * only 3 surviving daughters listed. (missing in MARY (JOHNSON) BROWN who must have written obit)
There are 11 grandchildren.

Hi Jacki,

Martha Ann Hardy 29 Sep 1877 Sherbrooke, Que. widow of William Digby Hardy 27 Mar 1873 - 26 Mar 1949. Daughter of Wilfred and unknown Collins. Came to BC about 1912. Son D. Hardy is informant. Also a marriage of their son Digby James Hardy to Mary MacKenzie 17 Mar 1932 in Vancouver. The witnesses are Jean Hardy and Hector MacKenzie. Digby died 13 Oct 1975 aged 76y.

Thank you so much for this obituary information. The parental info is all off but she certainly is the daughter of ALFRED WOLFE JOHNSON & MARY BURTON. I didn't have son DIGBY HARDY's date of death. Did it say where he died? Any chance I might be able to get his obituary too if he died in area?
