Sorry, but with the name Stella, I just couldn't resist using that line.
Thank you for in depth advice for a research strategy. I have initiated contact with the Alert Bay library in an attempt to locate an obituary there, and will send for a copy of the death registration. I believe that the Victoria Genealogical Society will send me a copy for $10.
