James Cunningham and Mary Ann Woodman had at least 6 adopted children..I
have their names and am in touch with a descendant. I also have names of Emily Ann (twin sister) and Thomas Cunnungham's children and have met descendants, some still alive. Please email me Janetwhiteue@gmail.com for more info. They were my 3x great aunts and their sister, Sarah Jane was married to Rev. Edward WHITE, and their parents, William and Mary ann Woodman were my 3x great grandparents. They just tore down CUNNINGHAM Hardware (no relation to Cunningham Drugs) building and in its place are building Anvil Centre.

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately my friend Thorbjørn Bertelsen died of cancer three years ago. However, I do have his daughter's email address and know that one of her uncles, Thorbjørn's brother, I think, was very interested in and active in working on his family history.

I will email Thorbjørn's daughter and get back to you.

Mariane
mbcancilla@hotmail.com

Hi Mariane,

I am directly related to the Viggo you are talking about. And I thank you for the info provided here. Gregers Viggo Anderson was my Great Grand Unlce that I just found out about. He was married to my biological Great grandfathers Sister. So although Viggo was not my blood, he was married to it. I have found a bunch of info on Viggo that I would be happy to share with your friend. This is the first I have read about his brother but the names listed are Viggos parents for sure. If you want any of my info please let me know.

The Pallensen name comes from his mothers maiden name, or at least Viggos mothers maiden name I have her listed as Mary Pallensen on my records. My guess is that is the same person you have listed as Mette Marie Christensen, but maybe not.

Eric

My father, Robert Edwin Beeson, was born to Roy and Lois Beeson near Edmonton in 1917. His older sister, Pearl, was also born there. We cousins are planning a trip this fall into that territory and are hoping for additional details or contacts that would expand our search. All records we have are from the 1960 era and are handwritten.

Since we understand Amaziah stayed in the area (Son of Dr. Charles Beeson born 1828 in Indiana) when they returned to the USA, we are hoping for some Canadian relatives!

I have that Edward Barton Wurts is the son of Fred Wurts and Marguerite Armstrong who is the daughter of Henry Armstrong and Margaret Moreland Boyd. Marguerite's sister is Louisa Maud Armstrong married to Isaiah Winters. Does this agree with what you have? I am basically a Boyd descendant. I do not have any photos of your Wurts family or the Winters but would love to see what you have and to share info. Do you know when Edward's parents died?
peggyc2sky@yahoo.com

Hello,

I am looking for any info on the Pete Sauve family. I found an index online showing the name contained in the book by Antonio G Pare called My Memoirs of Le Vieux Maillardville. If someone has it and can do the lookup for me that would be awesome!

Any other info appreciated on Sauve family and Pete Sauve born approx 1919/20 from Maillardville. I dont know his parents or which Sauve family he is from. I only have a picture of him dated 1941.

I have already gathered all info I can from BC Vitals online at the Royal BC Museum and through Family Search. I can not find any marriage or death for him.

I thank you for any leads.

Gen
I believe we might be chasing the same Bott line.

I am not 100% positive that Jean Eva Bott is the same as my Eva Jane Bott, but it appears that both have the same parents, same DOB and place and more. So things are looking good.

Do you have more information on the Botts? They have been an elusive line for me. My father's mother was a Bott, and if this Eva is a match, she was the daughter of my gg uncle, thus my 1C2R.

Other names associated with these Botts are Shaw, Grant, Kennedy and the Bott side got to Canada via Antigua, and first settled in the Woodstock, ON region.

Hope to hear more from you.

Ralph

Thank you for finding Vera's death. Much appreciated. As for Isaiah, it is not my Isaiah as I found him and Louisa in Dundalk in 1901.Then in Vermilion, Alberta in 1911. He was born Apr 5, 1860. I cannot access the 1916 for Alberta. Would it be possible for you to do that? Thank you so much.
Peggy

Yes, looks like right marriage. Steaves must be the same as Stevens. And Eliza W. must be the same person as Wilhemina
as age is right. I had Wilhemina born abt 1875. Witness H. Armstrong must be her father although I wonder about residence as Owen Sound. Not sure of Moore person.
Do you have any Boyd information?
Peggy

Thanks again. Now have one sister sorted out. I had her previous approx. date of marriage to Mr. Wurts (between 1901-1903) as Edward born Sept 1903. Although I did have Worts which may have hampered my research. Do you know Mr. Wurts' first name? That was a short marriage.
Yes, amazing she should have 3 siblings alive. Do you know if Marguerite and Frederica Dyre Armstrong are the same person? I think so as I have Marguerite's dob as May 16, 1878 and Frederica's as May 6, 1878.
Peggy

Thank you very much for this obituary. I do not know where Isaiah died and did not know about the family plot. But now I have a couple more clues, but have to figure out which sisters married Stephens and Chesney. I have 5 to chose from although I wonder if Marguerite and Frederica are the same person. There is also Hattie and Edith and Wilhemina. Can you believe that there were two daughters named Henrietta - one married Alexander Chisholm and she died in 1932 in Manitoba.
Thanks again
Peggy
PS Basically, I am doing the Boyd family but Louisa's mother was Margaret Moreland Boyd.
