I am trying to find a Census in Canada which would include
Alfred Pearce born 1904/1903 in Vancouver Canada.
I am also trying to find out names of his parents.

Hi Katrina,
The last available Census - for All Canada - was 1901.
The 1906 was released for the three Prairie Provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewa - Manitoba [ formerly North West Territories.].
We have been attempting to otain the 1911 Census [ Rootsweb has a Canada Census Campaign site] which should have already been transferred to the Archive.
If you know where he was married - the marriage registraton will show names of both sets of parents - place of birth etc.
If you know when? If? he is deceased. The Death Registraton - should show the names of parents including maiden name of mothers Much depends on the knowledge of the informant.

1901 census in BC before Alfred was born to find a likely family.

Not for a very long time.
There used to be updates - every year [ 101st year after the event -the birth records became public] .

* I believe that if you can prove that Alfred Pearce - born 1904 has been deceased for 20+ years. - you may be able to obtain the death registration - from Govt of B.C. Vital Stats - the cost will be in the $50.00 range.
