Hi Katrina,
The last available Census - for All Canada - was 1901.
The 1906 was released for the three
Prairie Provinces of
Alberta, Saskatchewa - Manitoba [ formerly North West Territories.].
We have been attempting to otain the 1911 Census [ Rootsweb has a Canada Census Campaign site] which should have already been transferred to the Archive.
If you know where he was married - the marriage registraton will show names of both sets of parents - place of birth etc.
If you know when? If? he is deceased. The Death Registraton - should show the names of parents including maiden name of mothers Much depends on the knowledge of the informant.
Wishing you much luck with your search
Cheers, STella
