Sheila:
These are two very different Alexander Foulds. The one that died is no relation (that I can find), to the one that married my great-aunt, Marie Stewart (who's real name was Mary Ann). Her 1st husband was my paternal grandfathers older husband, who had died in 1907 (and their only child died 3 weeks later).
It is the younger one that was a blacksmith. He left British Columbia sometime in the 1920's and moved to Seattle, where he continued as a Blacksmith for a railroad.
I have a photo of him, in front of his shop, but the address is not given. He does NOT appear in the 1911 or the 1916 census of B.C.
I have their marriage certificate. What I really want to know about is his blacksmith shop. It appeared to be rather large in the photo (a large barn like structure), and I'd just like to learn more about it and his work if possible.
Thanks for the response.
