Thanks for this reply and for your kind help. I actually got the Probate records and obituaries, as well as gravestones for Bill and Betty when I was last in BC. I know that Betty went back to the UK after Bill died (I have the record of her trip) and I have been in contact with one set of their living descendants.

I'd love to connect with the other set ('Bert's children). I did look at the BC listings. I am actually related to and know a number of them (HI cousins!) but have not managed to contact Bert's kids. I am hoping that I will hear from one of them.
