She used the name "Lois Peters". It is on my birth certificate. Told my adoptive parents she was using a fake name. Said she was born in Greenwood, BC. She was 22 in 1944, when I was born in Albany, Oregon. So, she would have been born in about 1922 . Give or take a year or two. She had been in Oregon about 2 years when I was born.Probably living and working in Portland, which was during the war years and a lot of people were there to work in shipyards. She gave her occupation as "sales clerk". I was given up for adoption in Oregon when I was one day old. We went to Greenwood in 2000. Several people have tried to help me that live there. The Greenwood newspaper put a notice about my situation. Someone tried to follow up on a Peterson lead but nothing came of that. I have a feeling she had an unusual name and just came up with Peters because she was trying to hide her identity at the time.
