Need help finding my grandfather's lost remains
I have recently tracked down my long lost grandfather to Kamloops BC. I have had some help in finding out how and when he died. We have not been able to find out what happened to his remains, and I was hoping that someone on here might have some kind of connection... Information I have: Name: Jack Alexander Died: October 13, 1974 Death Reg#: 1974-09-015480 Died at: Royal Inland Hospital Cremated at: Pine Grove Crematorium Handled by: MacLeods Funeral Home (which I understand is no longer in business) Jack was a machine operator at Kelly Lake Ranch in Clinton BC when he died. He was staying at a friends place on Tranquille Road in Kamloops. We found out that in the 1980's a bunch of unclaimed remains were buried, but Jack was not one of them. It is possible that someone may have claimed his remains, but we have spoken with his family out in BC and none of them were involved. Hoping that someone can help me solve the mystery! Thank you.

Re: Need help finding my grandfather's lost remains ALEXANDER, Jack 1974
Hi Sue, Always important to enter the surname of interest in Capital Letters on the Subject line, followed by given name. Catches attention of persons who may not read messages where no name is shown, Also makes finding the message much easier at another time.
Have you contacted the Pine Grove Crematorium? They may be able to tell you what happened to the remains.
The Funeral Home is no longer in service ? Records may be transferred to another funeral home.in the area.
Obituary: Have you searched to see if an Obituary had been published? There may be family members, friends mentioned - who may have taken charge of the remains.
Cheers & Good Luck, Stella

Re: Need help finding my grandfather's lost remains
I see on the death cert that his wife Judith Alexander was living in Falkland, Perhaps he is buried there.
or in Hill Side Cemetery where Pine Grove Crematorium was.
