Could you list the names of the residents that you are looking for? I am working on a list of the residents and might be able to provide some assistance.

I find a Hugh McLean age 60 died 6 Jul 1922 buried in the Pleasant Street Cemetery Section H2 8. There is a funeral home record for him.

Here's a link to the Kamloops Family History Society web page - on the search page you will be able to search the funeral home records. Remember these records are from ONE funeral home.

Thank you for the reply. The person I'm looking for is Stephen Loftus. Supposedly he passed away in 1905 at the Old Men's Home and was buried in that cemetery. (There's a commemorative plaque on the grave of a grandson in Pleasant St. cemetery as well, but that was done very recently)
However, no records show up for him in the BC archives either. He just disappears in 1901 from his home in Malakwa.
If you find anything, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

I've gone through all of the papers that I have on burials in the Prov Home Cemetery and don't find that name in any of them. That doesn't mean that he isn't buried there - he just isn't showing up in the papers that I have. I will watch for the name and if I find anything I will post it. Robin

Sent my last message too soon - I thought about the UBC historical newspapers and found this newspaper article:
