The Reverend or Father John McIntyre originally from Glace Bay

I’m doing some research on the McIntyre’s of the Glace Bay area and would like to have some more information on the Reverend or Father John McIntyre who was originally from Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and who is now living in Whistler or Kamloops British Columbia. Prior to moving to British Columbia he worked for a time at Thompson Brothers Shipyards in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, which later became Steel and Engine Products Limited, which is now closed. If anyone could tell me if he’s still living or now deceased, I’d like to know that information as well. I’m also looking for a picture of him if anyone has one or would be able to direct me to one. Thank you.

I am looking for a set of twins, possibly girls, that were born in Mission City BC between 1926 - 1930 These babies were raised by paternal grand parents as birth mom was approximately 15 years old and the eldest of 11 children. Her parents were not able to support another child let alone two. The birth mom's surname was Ryder. The babes may not have been born in Mission, but could have been born somewhere in the lower mainland of British Columbia. If these girls are still alive, perhaps they would like to know they have 3 1/2 sibblings - 2 brothers and a sister.

Thanks....

Thanks in advance :)

Chris

Hello there

This is a bit of a long shot, but I'm taking it anyway!

I'm looking for information on 2 people who I believe to be my great-great grandparents:

Frederick John Gill, born circa 1851 in Orwell, Cambridgeshire, UK
Jane Gill (née Gill – that really makes my life easier, let me tell you!), born circa 1854 also in Orwell.

I believe they immigrated to Canada in May 1913, leaving from Liverpool onboard a ship called the "Canada" along with their daughter, Letty, and what I presume to be their son Edward and his family (wife Elsie, son Edward and daughter Elsie).

Through the BC Vital Statistics website I found 2 death entries for Jane Amelia Gill (Jan 1924) and Frederick John Gill (Jan 1926), both deaths registered in Vancouver.

Any information on these 2 people, or on the others mentioned, would be gratefully received!

Thanks in advance

Michelle
Looking for a heritage book or records of the McDonald family who came from Montana to Bridsville in about 1919 and stayed till about 1929. James Nelson McDonald and his wife Ethel came to Bridesville, where he was the Blacksmith for about 10 years. Some of their children used the last name Scriver. Kids using the last name McDonald and attending school there were Nelson, Kora, and Donald. James Nelson built a two story house ouside of town for his family. The house was still standing in the 1960's but was used as a grainery. The house was also featured in a magazine article at a later date. Thanks for any help.

Looking for info on Julia Taylor nee Keeton from London

My 3x grandmother Julia Taylor (b1848) fled to Canada with the family inheritance and I have hit a complete brick wall trying to find any trace of her! My nan seemed to remember her so I don't think she went until after the 1900's and may have changed her name to O'Rourke. We have a picture of her that she sent her son (my great grandfather Thomas Taylor) in which she looks really old - about 90ish!
I've tried looking up both surnames + her maiden name of Keeton but to no avail. I think she settled in Vancouver, and that some of her children followed her (one may have gone before). Names of children might be - Amy/Emily, Samuel, Henry, Rose & Albert.
Also my nan's sister Grace Taylor emigrated to Canada as a young woman - probably in the 1920's - she apparently married a 'Lemont' Not sure of spelling. She sent back a photo of her with her neighbour mrs McCracker/McCracken, taken at the 'spud patch'(?)
I would be really greatful if anyone has access to any sort of records which may show up this side of my family. Especially if we can get to the bottom of what she spent all the inheritance money on, as it was apparently a large amount and there was talk of a department store?? Who knows!?
Thanks in anticipation!
Beverley
Seaking information regarding my g grandparents Thomas Waldron b1860 d1934 and Susan Gore Waldron b1863 d1947, emigrated to Vancouver, B.C. in 1911 from Montreal Canada. I know that they were both born in England and married in England. They had nine children including 5 sons, John, Percy and Clifford who remained in Montreal and Earnest and Neville who resided in Vancouver. They also had 4 daughters, Caroline Elizabeth (my grandmother) Mrs O. Shoebottom, Mrs. Fred Wilson and Miss H. Waldron all of Vancouver. Thomas Waldron was a tea merchant.

My grandfather Leonard George Stopps m Caroline Elizabeth Waldron in Montreal and later moved to Hamilton,Ontario. He also had family in British Columbia.

Thanks to anyone with information about or possible connections to either of these families.

They married in 1907 but I am unsure exactly when they arrived in Canada. Axwell died in 1957 and Adeline in 1962. I would love to find some relatives! Today I discovered by chance that they had settled in Canada. I think Axwell was a dentist or dental technician.

When I found her, I found that she'd passed away in 2006.

This knowledge saddens me because a link with a very good time in my past is gone.

Jeanne

I believe her husband's name is Larry.
Mary's brother's name is Jim, his wife. Dora (my father and mother).
Aunt Mary kept in touch for a long time, and then suddenly the letters stopped. My parents are now deceased and I have nowhere to go for information. I am very keen to get in contact with my extended family especially as I am now fairly close in California.

Lundy possible Jackson connection

I located my paternal grandfather's death notice and will through the Victoria Archives a number of years ago...William Maxwell Lundy was born around 1894 in Toronto and died in Victoria in September 1969. He was a dental 'mechanic' and after serving in WW#1 -possibly in the cyle unit, he remained in Toronto area for about 20 years and then moved to BC. Information I have found suggests that he was in the Prov of BC for at least 20 years possibly more and upon his death left everything to his friend Robert Jackson. His death notice in the local paper mentions he left behind many friends and cousins in Canada and United States but no mention of my dad or grandma. I have uncovered info which shows they were only married months before my dad was born and when William signed up for the Army a few months later he strangely lists himself as single. His body was supposedly cremated but I contacted the name listed in his obit notice who had no record of him....am really curious about what happened to this man and what his life in BC was like. The story I was told my my mother was that he was 'shell shocked' after the war and was 'never the same' but my grandma once told me that bruises in a relationship sometimes seemed like they would be easier to deal with...not that I condone any of it but I can only guess what kind of life she must have had a single mom in 1917---I was one in 73 and it wasn't pleasant. I would dearly love to know if anyone has any info on this man and his life.

Cheryl
