John WALKER (b. 1836, SCT) immigrated to Seaforth, Huron Co.,ON, where he married Margaret Elliot GRIEVE (b. 1840, m. 1860). At least two of their children moved to B.C., John Grieve WALKER (1871-1914) lived in Ashcroft and Robert
Scott WALKER (1874-1915) lived near Ioco. John Grieve married Emma KOELKENBECK (below) and Robert Scott died in a canoing accident in the inlet.
Hermann Joseph P. KÖLKENBECK (b. 1862, Antwerp, BEL, d. 1917, Kamloops) married Wilhelmine KORN (b. 1866, Neustadt, DEU, d. 1930, New Westminster) and emigrated to the USA and finally BC in 1903 (New Westminster, 1903, Spence's Bridge, 1905, Ashcroft, 1906, Clinton, 1916).
Their 6 children spent all or part of their lives in BC. Emma Mary (1888-1974) remained in Ashcroft and married John Grieve WALKER and then William Connor ADAM. Other children were Hermann (1889-1969, Vancouver), Magna Wilhelmine (1894-1976, Bralorne and White Rock), Elsie Sophia (b. 1897, to CA), Gertrude Eva (1899 to Yakima, WA), and Arthur Munster (1904 to CA).
