Do you know the name of the town in Sweden he was from? Do you know the names of his parents and/or any siblings? There are quite a few Carl Carlsons in BC so the more information you can provide will help me determine if any of them are the Carl you're searching for.

There are quite a few mentions (too many to list them all here) of Carl Carlson in the Creston Review (which covered Yahk) dating from 1913 to 1936. Here is a link to them which will hopefully work - scroll down the page a bit to start seeing them.

If that link doesn't work, here is the link to the main page search page. Click "Advanced Searched" on the right side of the page. On the search page enter his name and select "exact phrase". Then select "Select All/None" to uncheck all the newspapers. Then check "The Creston Review" and then Search.

I checked the BC directories and he appears in Yahk from 1940 to 1946. I didn't find him anywhere before then but he just may not have submitted his name for the directory.

There is a Patrick Carlson in the 1921 Census living in Yahk who is the right age. He gives his immigration year as 1910 and that he was naturalized in 191? - could be a 4 or 7. He is listed as married.

Hope this helps. And if you can provide any further information I hopefully can find more.

Cheers,

Soosi
