I am searching for an obituary for my uncle, Alfred A. Phillips, who d. 3 Nov 1965, near Tide Lake Camp, Stewart, BC (according to his death certificate). He died from blood loss due to blast powder in a mine. He was only 60 years of age. Also according to the death cert., his wife's name was Muriel Lindsay.

If anyone could help, with an obituary and/or an article (or articles) about the mine accident, I would really appreciate it.

I know that in 1929 and 1940, he was living in Alaska, but the death cert. shows him as being a Canadian citizen. (He was born in West Virginia, USA, to Floyd Phillips and Lana Lower. Lana and her second husband, Jacob Davis, are my paternal grandparents.)

We know nothing about him and would love to find as much info as possible, including info about his wife and any possible children.
