Do you know whether your Robert Boyd was born in Scotland? My maternal grandmother had a brother of that name who settled in Canada. He was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, on 15 May 1894. I am wondering whether he was the Robert Boyd who died in Vancouver on 5 Jan 1978 aged 85. It's a long shot.
