Hello

I am trying to find out who the parents of John Boles Gaggin were. Gaggin was originally from Cork, Ireland but came to Canada in the 1850's and was a magistrate at Port Douglas and Kootenay and then moved to Wild Horse Creek, Kootenay District where he died on May 27, 1867. I am looking for any record which might identify his parent's names. Perhaps a burial record or a civil death record if they are available for public inquiry without having to buy an official certificate. Would anyone know of a local history resource which might have indexed such records?
