Hello
Yes, thanks for the results of the on line searches for Gaggin at the BC archives. I should perhaps have mentioned that I've exhausted online efforts and really what I'm looking for in contacting a BC forum is some hints on local resources. I have contacted the archives which referred me to a list of paid researchers. Gaggin died in 1867 and civil death registration in BC started in 1872 so there is no possibility of obtaining a provincial death certificate as you suggest. The Family History Centres while always a possibility did not have anything on microfilm for Wild Horse Creek.
Would anyone know if there is such a thing as a local history center or other local resource which would cover that area? I selected this BC General forum to ask this question as I do not know BC geography. Would one of the other BC forums on ancestry.com or perhaps on rootsweb have a specific focus on the Wild Horse Creek area?
Would any kind soul who may have access to the BC Archives consider asking there regarding any local resource for death records. My only aim is to learn his parent's names or possibly his specific birth place in Cork, Ireland and other than a local death record I can't think of any other possibility for learning that. Others are doing research in Cork, Ireland but so far without success.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
Tom
