Re: Pollard family of Clinton
Hello Eleanor. I knew you mother Isobel, I was married to Louis LeBourdais who passed away in 1984. I stumbled upon this website and some queries. You may have the information by now but:
Jeremie Quesnel LeBourdais married Eva Baker in 1946,in Quesnel. Eva was the daughter of Henry and Berta Baker of Quesnel. He was from the Carrier nation band, she was not native. They had 3 children; Louis Pierre Donat in 1947, Linda Marie in 1950 ( Bentley , now in Williams Lake- husband George), and Thomas Henry who died with Eva in the Fraser River, I think in 1952. His body was recovered, hers was not. Jeremie moved to North Vancouver with a nurse from Quesnel Nancy Patchett (Dorman) who had a son by Jimmy Patchett of Quesnel which is Raymond LeBourdais of Horsefly. Aunt Nora LeBourdais moved with them to help with the children. Jerry and Nancy married and had Lorraine LeBourdais in 1957. ( now of Horse Lake)

Re: Pollard family of Cambridge
Dear Sally, I have recently started researching some family history and turned to the Polled/Pollard side of the family this week. My maiden name is Armitage and I think we may be 3rd cousins if you are the person I remember from my childhood in Poole, Dorset. I came across Keziah while researching this week so your message caught my eye. I would be very interested to hear from you and very grateful for any family history that you were willing to share. Florence Amelia Creasy Polled was my grandmother. Claire

Re: Pollard family of Clinton
I am Ian Coates, Grandson of Maudie LeBourdais and Jim LeBourdais. I have been looking for family members for a long time and it is great to find some, LeBourdais's and Pollards!!!!. I hope that we can get a reunion organized very soon. I can say right now that the LeBourdais family is a strong clan and that Grandma Maudie was one of the most respected people I have and will ever know.
I have some great stories about Grandma Maudie if anyone should like to hear them.
Ian

Re: Pollard family of Clinton
Kezia Tresidder Roberts was the mother of the children named in a previous post. she was born in St Columb, Cornwall 1854 St Columb ref:5c 136. She marries George Clemence in 1878 but then vanishes from England to reappear it seems in Canada. I have plenty of info about her ancestors and there is much on the new familysearch pilot site about her children. Barry

Re: Pollard family of Clinton
Hi Eleanor, After Pierre LeBourdais married Keziah, they had a child in 1921 named Pauline. He abandoned them both in April 1921 (maybe even before Pauline's birth) and came down to California by way of Seattle, Washington. He then impregnated my grandmother (Mary Harper Randolph) and fled to Honolulu, Hawaii where he lived the rest of his life. He married my grandmother I believe somewhere in 1931 when Marie LeBourdais and my grandmother went to Hawaii to convince him to give his son a name. My dad is deceased by was Wallace Randolph LeBourdais. He married again in the later 1930's. I can find no records of his ever divorcing either Keziah or my grandmother. Quite a story! Doe anyone have other information about Keziah and Pierre?

Re: Pollard family of Clinton
Hello Lynn & Barry: thank you so much for explaining the details about Pierre Leon Lebourdais!! Now all the documents I found on him make sense. I am trying to compile the family tree on the Lebourdais of Clinton, BC. Lebourdais is the paternal side of my adopted son Alan. He now has three children and he is anxious to know his heritage so it can be passed onto his children. I have a source in Clinton, and if I get any more info from her I will be sure and let you know. How much of that family tree are you interested in. Right now, because I have just begun work on it, I have the tree marked Private. I am missing one link to tie all the family to my sons line, but I am sure I will figure it out soon. If you would like to view it, just let me know. Either of you may be able to make the connection. I started it with his grand father Joe and can go back three generations on it. Then it comes to a stop, I have also in the same tree, done all I can find from the first Lebourdais that came to Clinton, BC and worked that line forward. Now I just have to connect the two.
