Hi,

My family has lived in the Quesnel/Kersley area since the early 1900's. (Arnoldus, and they still do). I am eager to see more on the area, as they are getting older, and memory is beginning to fade.

The city of Quesnel, British Columbia was named after Jules Maurice Quesnelle an explorer with the last two letters being dropped in more recent years. Their is a local family with the last name of Quesnel but I do not know where they originated from.

I did not know you existed! Great! What do you know about Albert and Mary Lust of Quesnel? Descendants of Adolph and Rose Lust? I seem to recall a book being published about the lust family. Is that true?

Hi Kathie ;
I think that my Ggrandfather Alexander Douglas McInnes who passed away at Barkerville on April 7, 1911 may have been buried at Alexandria,and also his wife Annie Elezabeth McInnes, nee Roddy,who passed away on April 26,1892 at Quesnel District.
They lived at Alexandria for some time, and I believe they were living there when Annie McInnes died.

Do you have any record of them, I would sure like to know.

Thanks Roy
