The Quesnel Genealogical Society has recorded all known deaths amd burial sites from Stanley in the east [just outside of Barkerville] to Nazko and beyond in the west to Woopecker in the north [a few miles north of Hixon] and in the south to approx just north of Mclease Lake . This excludes all First Nations Burial sites but includes private burial grounds, memorial parks, Church Cemeteries and historic burial grounds. Photos have been take of all grave markers and maps made with land lot numbers used for site identifiction for private sites. Some are no longer used buts others are in use and the information is being updated, to keep it current. At this time the Quesnel and District Cemetery [1952] has not been done, but the city has an index of this site and a map, so we can do lookups for it. We hope to do work on this in the near future.
Information on any death and or burial is appreciated, as we are sure that their is more out their that we have not located to date.
