The early registrations did not have as much personal information as the later ones, but , may show the names of parents [the info on the marriage reg - comes from the persons themselves - so should be correct - The information on the Death Registrations - depend greatly on the knowledge of the Informant - but - still may show the name of parents if known]
There are also other Annie McINNES surnames - perhaps daughters, granddaughters etc. listed at the Govt of B.C. Vital Events Index:
Other McInness births and Marriages.
Depending on where you are: The registrations can be viewed at some Public and University Libraries. At the Latter Day Saints Family History Centres. If no one has been able to help [ look at the regs - copy info etc] AND - you are not in a very great rush. I may be able to take a look at these perhaps some time this week or in the near future.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Hi Stella.
Thank you so much for the infomation, ,just got back from Victoria where we searched the Archives and found some of the info we were looking for but not all.
We have the Marriage certificate that lists thier father,s names as Alexander Douglas McInnes and Patrick Roddy but not thier mothers.

The 1881 census shows A.D. McInnes born in Glasgow Scotland and Annie Roddy,s death registration lists her place of birth as Roscommon Ireland.

We assume Alexander McInnes who died in Barkerville was also buried there however Annie McInnes nee Roddy died at Alexander B.C and may be buried there as we understand there is a small cemetary there.

Thank you verry much for your help.
Roy

Hi Roy. Regarding Annie (RODDY) McINNES, you will find her burial at St. Joseph's Mission. I will try to get this message through to your email, too.
Take care.

Hi Roy,

I'm trying to research my Brother-in-law's family from the Cariboo region of BC. His family is Descended from John Allen McInnes m. Mary. Son, Alexander b. 1888. I'm wondering if John Allen might be a nephew or in some way related to Alexander Douglas. Have you found more information on this line? I've collected a few tidbits about Alexander Douglas as he keeps coming up in my search. Can we compare notes?

Elena
