Hi, Can anyone help me with the following please? I've got an obituary someone found for me for a Clara Mallinson (at the link below), the first wife of
William Mason Mallinson as follows:
Wetaskiwin Times, April 20, 1911, Page 1
Mallinson - At Millet on the 18th inst. Clara beloved wife of W M Mallinson of Cranbrook, B.C. aged 25 years. The remains were taken to Cranbrook for interment on Thursday's train.
There's also a burial noted at the following link.....
http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/index.htmlas follows: Burial under the heading of Millet, Alberta:
Clara Mallinson 19 April 1911 plot 3,04, wife of WM Mallinson St. Norbert Roman Catholic Cemetery.
I'm assuming that her remains were taken to Cranbrook as noted in the Obit., but now I'm not too sure.
Unfortunately, I can't find anything about why she died so young. Would there be any addtional newspapers that would have perhaps mentioned her death? I'm surprised that there are no Alberta BMD lists that we can search through. Does anyone know how it works regarding looking up the BMDs so that you can order a certificate if need be. Are you committed to purchasing the certificate they find at Vital Statistics?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Best wishes,
Jill
