Thank you both for your replies.

William was born in 1870 and Augusta was born c.1885. I found their marriage announcement in the Irish Times newspaper but I don't have a primary source for their marriage.
William's parents were Rev. William CHARTRES and Margaretta MOORE, while Augusta's parents were George Augustus CLAMPETT and Frances Elizabeth HATCHETT.

I found William and Augusta CHARTERS in Strathcona, Alberta in the 1911 Census. The ages & places of birth are a match, as is William's profession. They didn't state when they arrived in Canada. They are both in the 1901 Census of Ireland so I assume they emigrated between 1901 and 1909.

James Clampett CHARTRES could be their son. William had a brother called James, and surely there can't be too many families with a Clampett & Chartres connection.

Thank you for the suggestions of where else to search.
