My great uncles John M and Irvin MC Jackson moved to the Wetaskiwin area in 1910 from Colorado and western Nebraska. Irvins daughter Bessie Nelson contributed the family history to the book "Pioneer Pathways Rural Wetaskiwin" and her account leads me to believe there are descendents still in the Wetaskiwin vicinity. Would appreciate any help, leads, or suggestions as to how I could contact them.

The finding aids and indexes (not online) of the Alberta Genealogical Society list some 15 Jackson burials in the Old Wetaskiwin Cemetery. Among them are these;

Irvin M.C. JACKSON, 1862 - 1948 and at the same plot we find; Jane JACKSON, 1870 - 1923. Plot D,44,2.

John M. JACKSON, interred 3 Jun 1944 and wife
Martha JACKSON, 1871 - June 1944 both in plot B,66,3.

This cemetery was recorded and published by members of the Society and is available as Publication #2091.

Thank you for the information giving me place and dates of birth and death of brothers John M. and Irvin MC Jackson. I have since been able to contact two of Irvins grand children who live in Wetaskiwin so am looking forward to receiving information from and visiting with these distant cousins.
