Hi again....Stan Marshall had the built up shoe...he was my father's brother. I hear from Travis every Christmas...he is such a nice man. Although I grew up in Edmonton I haven't been there for several years...no one left. My parents had 5 children. I had two brothers, one died in infancy and the other died about 10 years ago. My oldest sister died 3 years ago leaving me and my younger sister. I was widowed 16 years ago when I was 51...am now retired and looking forward to golfing season. I did meet a couple of Marshall cousins when I was really into genealogy. One lived in ontario and the other near Winnipeg. I did a bit of work on the Marshall family but hit a dead end after learning the names of Tom's grandparents. When I retired I spent the summer in Ontario and stayed with one of my somewhat removed cousins on my grandmother's side north of Havelock. The land John (my grandfather) and Tom's family lived on was just down the road so we went for a walk which included a trek through the woods to the school the Marshall children attended. I have a newspaper article about the school they attended and it said that William Marshall had finished the inside. The school is now at the Lang Pioneer Village near Peterborough and I went to see it...rather a strange feeling sitting in the same place as they had. I'd be happy to share the info I gathered with you but will need your email address in order to do it.
