Murder Poisoning on Southern Alberta Farm

A grand-aunt was murdered circa 1925-29 on a farm in southern Alberta (town unknown) and died. I don't know her married name, though I believe it started with a "P," and it was a polish name. She had a married daughter at the time of her death, who lived nearby.

Here's the part someone might remember. Her breakfast was poisoned.

Can you help me find out more? I doubt if it will help but her maiden name was Collins.
Thanks

Just read the post about the murder. My Granma's father was Aaron Warner. Her mother's name was Elizabeth Collins. We know very little about either one. My Granma was married to James Asbury Chambers. Granma's name was Olive Harriet Viola Warner. Would appreciate anything anyone has on any of these people.

What state is Alberta in?

Aaron Warner is my great grand uncle and he was married to Elizabeth Collins in Knox County Indiana..Aaron's parents are Alexander Zuill Warner and Lucy Russell, both from Massachussetts. My line is through Aaron's sister Weltha

Elizabeth Collins was married first to Oliver Jordan on 15 Dec 1849 ( documented). She then married Aaron Warner about 1855, In the 1880 Census, she states that her father was born in Indiana and her mother in South Carolina.

Your grandmother Olive would be my first cousin 3x removed. I am seeking more info about Aaron and Elizabeth

Regards,
Susan

Hi , Almost 12 years since your posting - re death in Southern Alberta
Because of current postings to the site - just curious if you were able to find the information you were seeking - or at least - had the names of you Grand aunt - given name - and maiden surname - could help as there may have been references made to her parents - or siblings - etc

Was it determined that the poisoning was a criminal offence - or perhaps - food that had gone bad ? - If you know the aprox place where the farm was - there may have been a news story -
perhaps Local Public library - would have some knowledge - Provincial Archive may be able to advise -
Glenbow Museum & Archive - may be a good source of information
