Thank you for the informative posts, Stella, Angela, and Peter! The two census' must be showing the same family. The info certainly adds a bit of confusion. How did John A. become I.S.? Could the transcriber mistaken a 'J' for an 'I'? Are 1911 birth dates more accurate than 1916 ones? Was Toyphenia 19 or 29 in 1911? Is there an online location where I can see the original recorded census data?
I believe I'll follow Peter's advice and contact the genealogical society. Thanks again.
