I am interested in the family of Duncan McDougall (1844 - ~1900) and his wife Isabella McNeil (1847 - ) who emigrated to Canada from Scotland about 1900.
Isabella married Duncan McDougall, a classics teacher, in 1874, and they had nine children. In 1900, the whole family travelled from Glasgow to Montreal, settling first in Aldborough, Ontario, then in the Battle River area of Alberta. Duncan died about 1900, probably in Ontario.
In 1916, Isabella and her nine unmarried children, ranging in age from 26 to 41, were living in Streamstown, Alberta, where they appeared to have three adjacent farms.
I've no knowledge of this family at all after 1916, and would welcome any information about subsequent marriages, deaths, burials etc.
Can anyone supply information, or point me towards sources of information?
I should say that I live in England, so cannot easily visit the area myself.
With thanks for information and advice.
