Surnames: HAYWARD, SMITH, LOCK
I am looking for information on an aunt HAYWARD,Sarah who married a SMITH, W and lived in Ashmont. I also believe that her daughters married into the LOCK family. I think that HAYWARD, Sarah is the sister of my grandfather HAYWARD, William who lived most of his life in Burlington, Ontario.

The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists some thousands of Smith names among them are;

Sarah Ann SMITH, 1864 - 19 Jan 1957 (mother)
William SMITH, 1873 - 4 Mar 1946 (father)
buried next to each other in plot F-02 of the Ashmont Community Cemetery.

5 other Smith's are buried in other areas of this cemetery.

I was just wondering if you have been able to get the info you were looking for about the Hayward's, Smith's and the Lock's. I have been working on a family tree for my wife, she is related to all of the above.

I have not been able to get as much information as I would like about the Lock family in Alberta. My grandfather was William Hayward and his oldest sister was Sarah Hayward Lock Smith. I know that Sarah's mother moved to Ashmont and Sarah's brother Jack was also in Alberta. Please contact me through my family tree Hayward-Reid Family tree and I will share what information I have. I also have many, many pictures of the families in Alberta that I have not been able to identify.
