I am currently looking for any info on the McClain, Dunham, or Allen Families that resided in the Elk Point and Lindberg area. Samuel McClain b. abt 1847 Illinois, USA, was a Blacksmith mar. Margaret (Unknown) b. abt 1853 Illinois, USA and they had the following children;
Lewis McClain b. abt 1876 in Iowa USA m. Ann Martin may have stayed in the USA
Daisy McClain b. abt 1878 in Iowa USA m. Caleb Dunham immagrated abt 1906
Elizabeth May McClain b. abt 1880 in Iowa immagrated abt 1906 m. Loyola Laughlin in Alberta Canada
John McClain b.Dec 27, 1881 in Iowa USA m. Elnora Laughlin immagrated abt 1905
Dolly McClain b. ? immagrated abt 1906 m. Todd Allen
Grover McClain b. ? immagrated abt 1906 m. ?


John and Elnora were married in 1903 in Oklahoma and immagrated to Alberta Canada in 1905. They had three daughters before divorcing abt 1913 when Elnora remarried. She became the wife of Charly DeFord and then had two more daughters.
My Great Grandfather was John McClain and he is buried in Ferguson Flats Cemetery in or near Lindberg. He died August 25, 1969. I was wondering if anyone may have any info to share on this McClain Family? It would greatly be appreciated.
