I am trying to find further info on Sophia Larrivee that was b. in St. Paul,Alberta, Canada, 3 Apr 1837. She married a Joseph Ather date unknown. They both died in Waterbury, Vt. and are buried there. On the familysearch site I see listed as parents: Noel L. Anient and Sophia M.
no maiden name listed. Any info on her parents and siblings would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Is it possible that the name might be LaRiviere.

What research have you already done?

Starting with the Deaths in Waterbury VT -
Registration of Death/Long form Death Certificates
may show names of parents if known to the informant.
may show date and place of birth - depends on the requirements of the time.

OBITUARIES: may have been published - may show some personal history - may show names and locations of other family members at the time.

Perhaps Sophia LARRIVEE married Joseph ATHER in the U.S.A

You have names for the parents of Sophia as Noel AL. ANIENT - was Sophia previously married to a LARRIVEE - her maiden name does not match that of the father Noel L. ANIENT

I do not believe that Vital Records,Birth, Marriage ,Death - were kept as early as 1837 - There may be church records.

When I posted the question I had the name of St. Paul being the place of her birth. In further investigation it was
St. Paul d' Abbotsford,Rouville,Quebec. Wondered why she
was born so far off. Sorry for any inconvenience.
