John Philip (JP) Becker, b 1861 d 1935, wife Mary Emma, b 1863 d 1956, moved to Rimbey in 1911 from South Dakota, USA. Have copies of articles apparently from a Rimbey area history but no title, etc. for it. JP and Mary had 14 children (7 girls, 7 boys). Pete Becker (JP's brother) is on page 395; a gdaughter, Eileen Throndson page 628; son Willie on page 604+ - other copies don't have page numbers on them. Looking for info on gathering primary source material to verify/embellish on book's info, and hopefully full title, etc of this book.

Hi

John Philip Becker was my great grandfather (great grandmother Mary Emma) and the book that you are looking for is titled Over the Years 1892 to 1982, A History of Rimbey and Area.

In your message you have said that JP and Mary had 14 children however, in fact they had 11. As both my great grandfather and my grandfather went by JP. The article you are reading is actually about Joseph Phillip Becker and Nora Miller my grandparents. They had, at the time of that article, 14 children; their 15th being born in 1942.

Joseph Phillip was a twin and his twin brother was Phillip Joseph. The only thing I can figure is either my great grandparents had a sense of humor or they were running out of names :)

Are we related?

Please let me know if there is any information I can help you with.

I hope this reaches you as it has been a long time since it was posted.

Yours truly
Linda

Hope this helps
