Hi, I would very much like a copy of your book, but hoping that you could tell me some first names of the Mclaren family are mentioned... with thanks

Re: Rolling Hills (Alberta) History Book
Hi Therese,
I had a chance to go through the book and see what I could find about the McLarens. The history book isn't indexed, so it's a matter of reading page by page. There is a short write-up by "N. McLaren" who came to the area from SK. There is mention of a "Newt McLaren" in another write-up about the town, so that's probably his first name. There's a photo of N. McLaren in front of his first home in Rolling Hills circa 1939. His wife is only listed as Mrs. N. McLaren. She died in 1964. She's listed in the book's memorial page. There are some photographs of McLarens in the book, too. (Mac, Audrey, Newt) There's also mention of Mrs. C. McLaren, who was originally a Finkbeiner, as well as a Mac McLaren who attended school & participated in 4H there. Mac married a Finkbeiner as well.
There could be more bits here and there about McLarens, but I didn't have the time to read it as thoroughly as I would have liked. If you need more information, please email me rather than posting here. Thanks! Carol
