Hi,

The SCHAMBRON and NELSON are spelled right. The TIEBERT might be spelled wrong. I know the SCHAMBRON is spelled right.

Aunt Effie and Uncle Gus homesteaded outside of Cowley. Because Aunt Kate and Uncle
Neldo Walling lived close by for a while before moving back to the USA with their daughter Retta.

Aunt Kate and Aunt Effie were sisters.

Uncle Gus was wrangler. He brought horses up to Canada. He liked it so much he decided to stay, Uncle Gus asked for Effie hand in marriage. She left St. John, Washington for Canada to marry. They were married in Pincher Creek.

My Mom talked about driving up to Canada and driving out to the home place outside of Cowley. What my Mom saw was shocks of hay out in the field covered in snow and the family picking up the shocks for the cows. This had to be in the late 20's. This is before she left for Hawaii.

I don't have years for I am not sure. I know Aunt Effie and Uncle Gus did homestead outside of Cowley Alberta Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schambron had the misfortune of breaking through the ice with their jeep. They escaped unharmed and only a little wet. With the help of neighbours they managed to get the jeep out with tractors.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thibert was the scene for the golden anniversary celebrations of Mrs. Thibert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Schambron. After a delicious supper, Mr. H.B. Smith, who had known the couple longer than anyone present, on behalf of the community, presented them with an electric frying pan.
