I am looking for any information for Donald McKenzie who lived at Noyes Crossing before the Great War. He had a brother who was either Robert or William. I think they both emigrated together. Donald died on 3rd June 1917 in France. He is buried at Vimy Ridge.
Any information on any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists 7 Robert and 20 William McKenzie names;

Noyes Crossing is an old Post Office in the County of Lac Ste Anne. A bit more info as to year of birth and when they came to Canada would be helpful.

To Peter Goutbeck,
Many thanks for the information posted.
The following info is attached as requested.
Donald was born on the 6th July 1896 in Dumbarton Scotland His father was also named Donald. His mother was Annie Miller Plunket.
From research at Archivianet I found a Donald McKenzie that arrived in Canada aboard SS Grampian on 14 April 1908. I have no proof this is the correct person but he was aged 11 which fits with his date of birth.
I have found his Attestation Paper which I know is correct from information on the form.
Donald joined the 50th Bn Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regt.)
Serial No 811529
He died in France on Sunday 3rd June 1917 and is buried at La Chaudiere Military Cemetery.
Further research is needed for more information on William however he was born in 1886 in Govan Glasgow Scotland.
Once again many thanks for the info provided. I now look forward to any reply that may be posted.
