Hello

Please fogive me if this email is at all out of line, or intrusive. I am attempting to trace the heritage and roots of my grandfateher who passed away in 1985, while I was a young boy. I have seen on your database the family name Karaconti, this is my grandfathers birthname, his name was Harry Gordon Gray, infant son of Clarisse Karaconti and Phillip Gray, born on July 16, 1900.

His mother, Clarisse was a Iriqous or a Kree National, im not certain, and his father a white man, of which heritage again I am not certain.
I was wondering if at all possible if you have any data on the Karaconti or Gray bloodline. (living or dead)

I really do not know much of his, or my heritage execpt for the few pictures and fond memories that I still have of him.
He had three brothers, all of whome have apssed along, but I am not sure of their children if any.

Thank you for any information you may have on my family, and for your time.

Hello Jason,

You may have already found these, but here goes.

http://www.familysearch.org
Search for Phillipe Gray.
Limit by country Canada
You will find two pedigree resource entries for his christening. These lead to extensive ancestry of both Phillipe and Clarisse.

While reading this message from the board, go to the very top to HOME. Click on that, then search for Phillipe Gray.
You will find several WorldConnect entries which include email addresses of those who have submitted those gedcoms.

Our Roots--digitized books

Search in the Fultext Box for Karakonti, then Karakonte, and then any other miscellaneous spellings you find. Be sure not to miss the book, The Sun Traveller.

Hello Nancy

I cant even begin to thank you for this information. It makes me happy to know that there is the chance I can see my grandfathers life as i never really had the pleasure of knowing him, or the fact that my heritage, as I always felt it is Matis. I have always loved the outdoors, the earth and its animals. This information is a great gift, so I thank you for everything you have searched for me.

You have lifted my spirits.

Hello, Jason! I realize it's been three years since you've posted your query on the bloodline, but I thought I'd repy anyway. Your grandfather was my Uncle Harry, my dad was Robert Hanley Gray. So, your great-grandparents were my grand-parents.

I remember meeting Uncle Harry when I was a small child, but I don't remember anything about him. You might be interested to know that your great-grandmother Clarisse K. was a highly skilled, and well-respected, Medicine Woman.

Hi Anne,

My name is Sharmaine Gray and I am the daughter of David Gray who was, I believe, your uncle. My Uncle Robert was married to Delia Gray. I would like to know more about Clarise. My mother gave me a bone fragment from her little fingr when I was 11. She was apparently considered a kind of holy woman hence the fragmet sewn up in fine white leather. Unfortunately, I lost it many years ago.

Contact me here. I will check back.

Hello,

You mention that you emailed Jason a page of births and marriages related to the Gray/Karaconti bloodline. I am the granddaughter of one of the sons of Clarisse Karaconti and Phillip Gray. I am investigating my bloodline.

Could you send me this sheet of info as well?

Thank you very much,

Sharmaine Gray

Hello

I am very much interested in the following up of this file. My grandfather passed away in 1985, sadly my grandmother just passed away and any information I can have about them would be great.

Can you tell me about them, have you ever heard of Harry Gordon Gray, my grandfather...

Thanks
