I am seeking details and information on the family of JOHN REED LONG, who was residing in Lacombe during the 1930's.
JOHN REED LONG was the son of Morley Long & Hattie Reid, of Brandon Manitoba. He was born in 1906 in Brandon, Manitoba and only had one other brother, namely Morley Cameron Long.

Hi What is your source of information re John Reed LONG living in Lacombe Alberta in the 1930's When in the 30's. What was his occupation. This was the time of the Great Depression - many men - travelled - to other locations - Province to Province etc - to find work. Do you know if his parents - brother - also went to Alberta ? Searched Manitoba Vital Statistics online: Perhaps the family ?

Thanks for the Manitoba vital stats supplied. They were all for the family except the marriage posting of Harriet Long & Wm. John Davis as she never remarried following the death of her husband.
The source used to have determined the residence of John Reed Long was the 1933 obit of his mother, Harriet Long which had been published in the Brandon newspaper. This had stated that he was living in Lacombe, Alberta. His brother, Morley Cameron Long was residing in Carnduff at the time of his mother's death as well.
