Napoleon Beloin and his large family moved to Alberta from Quebec sometimes in the early 1900's. Am trying to locate information on the families of 5 of his children. All I have to go on are some vague memories from an elderly uncle, as follow:
(1) son, Ernest Beloin, married Alice Lafosse. They had at least 12 children, 9 of whom were born in TROCHU, Alberta
(2) daughter, Albertine or Ernestine Beloin, married David Richard around 1921
(3) son, George Beloin, married Mary Evans in 1932
(4) son, Alexis Beloin married Mathilda or Marilda Drolet around 1917 or 1918 and had a very large family.
(5) son, Henri Beloin, married Gertrude Boyes or Boyd in mid-1920's.

Any help appreciated.

You might want to post to the General Message Board for Alberta - this will give your message coverage throughout Alberta - perhaps family moved about.

The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists these possible names;

Alexis BELOIN, 1888 - 1974
buried in the St Joseph RC Cemetery at St Paul

The name of Marlide BELOIN is mentioned on page 184 of the Local History Book "Pictorial History of St Paul, published 1979".

The Alberta Genealogy Society also shows Homesteads and includes those that did not complete all their requirements.
http://abgensoc.ca/

That Homestead, of Alex G. BELOIN, on 4-57-9-W4 would be about 7 miles south of cemetery at St Paul.
Then there is another Homestead for Amedee J. BELOIN on 33-56-9-W4, which would be a halve mile away from Alex.

Those other homesteads that are at T35- R23 - W4 would be some 30 miles South East of Red Deer.

There are 5 other BELOIN burials in various other areas of Alberta.

Tthanks, Stella & Peter
You've both been a big help - at least now I have some starting points for further investigation. After some dozen years of searching for some of my "rebel" relatives, I've come to the conclusion that a genealogist must first pass a test as a forensic detective!!!
Thanks again
