      <description>George Johnston born 1811 in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland to George Johnston married March 15, 1849 (787) in Enniskillen, to Eliza Irwin born April 10, 1818. Eliza was the daughter of Archibald James Irwin and Mary Stewart Hunter. They had Margaret Jane, February 1,1852-1935, &amp;amp; James, 1855 in Enniskillen. They had George Phibbs, June 28,1857-1939, Stephen Irwin, April 5, 1858-1927, Florence, December 12, 1862-1937, and Robert William, September 14, 1865-1948 in KinlossTwp., Bruce Co., Ontario, Canada. Have more complete information. &lt;br&gt;Can anyone help with the Irish connections? Have info I can share with the Canadian side.       <title>Edna M. ANDERSON nee BUTLER, 1997</title>

      <description>Edna M. Anderson, a resident of Pioneer Lodge and previously of Bezanson, passed away at the Q.E. Hospital on Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at the age of 83 years. Edna was born in Calgary, Alta. on May 15, 1914. She took her schooling there, also attending "normal" school and then went out to the Prairies to teach. She met and married Bill in 1941. They lived in the Sedalia area until moving to the Peace River Country in 1959. She is survived by Roy (Bev) Anderson of Indonesia, Jean (Rudy) Meinecke of Grande Prairie, Eric Anderson of High Prairie, five grandchildren: Darcy, Tammy and Lanny (Angel) Meinecke and their children Matthew and Jordan of Grande Prairie, Paula (Kevin) Collin and Patricia Anderson of Calgary. She also leaves one sister Gertha Montgomery of Vulcan and one brother Howard (Byllie) Butler of Ottawa. Edna was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1993. A memorial service for the late Edna Anderson will be held at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel, 10005-107 Avenue, Grande Prairie, on Saturday, December 20, 1997 at 1 p.m. Rev. Nelson Jones officiating. Cremation was held at Oliver's Crematorium. Memorial Donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel.       <description>Arthur Julius Dievert passed away after a lengthy illness at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alta., on Wednesday, December 3, 1997 at the age of 76 years. Arthur leaves to mourn, his wife Gladys, his daughter Carol (Gordon) Harsch of DeBolt, Alta.; his sons Wayne of Port Alberni, B.C.; Norman (Lesley) of Fort Smith, N.W.T.; Allan (Debbie) of Grande Prairie, Alta., and Daniel of Grande Prairie; his daughter-in-law Susan of Port Alberni, his step-daughters Barbara (Conrad) Gray of Whitecourt, Alta.; Alisa (Tom) Burton of DeBolt, Alta., and Mary (Carl) Weiss of Crooked Creek, Alta. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his brother Erven (Helen) of Barrhead, Alta., his sisters Elsie Nitschke of Pitt Meadows, B.C., and Agnes (George) Bergen of Port Moody, B.C. and numerous other relatives and friends. Arthur was predeceased by his first wife, Frances, his son Leonard and his brother Allan. Arthur was very involved in his community and loved to hunt and travel. He sat on the QEII Hospital Board, he was a founding member of the East Smoky Gas Co-op, sat on the East Smoky School Division board, helped build the DeBolt Centennial Hall ,and was very involved in local politics. Arthur greatly enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Gospel Light Church in DeBolt, Alta., on Monday, December 8, 1997 at 2 p.m. Pastor Paul Warnock officiating. Interment at DeBolt Cemetery to follow.       <description>On Tuesday, November 25, 1997, Bonnie Lou Bourke passed away peacefully, in the presence of her family, in her home in Grovedale, Alta., at the age of 45 years. During her life Bonnie enjoyed working with and lovingly caring for the mentally and physically challenged people of all ages. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband Leo; son Tory (Tammy) of Grande Prairie; her mother Ruth of Rivers, Man.; three brothers: Delwyn (Tesa) of Calgary, Alta., Barry (Lisa) of Grande Prairie, Alta., and Dwayne of Rivers, Man.; her sister Roxanne (Terry) Mayor of Rivers, Man.; her mother-in-law Betty of Portage La Prairie, Man. She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews as well as her final care-givers, Dr. Claudia Strelhke, Chris Boulos and Ann Mellows, who so lovingly cared for her in the last day of life. Bonnie was predeceased by her father, Filo. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 27, 1997, at 3:30 p.m. from the Grovedale Community Hall with Rev. Vern Begalke officiating.       <description>Albin Yarle Jacobson, resident of Aurora Court, Grande Prairie, Alta. and formerly of Grovedale; passed away on October 28, 1997 in Grande Prairie, at the age of 81 years. Albin was born August 16, 1916 in Tromso, Norway to Caroline and Hjalmar Jacobson. In 1939, Albin and his family moved to the Grovedale area until 1994, when he moved to Aurora Court. Albin joined the Army in 1942, being discharged in 1946. During this time, he served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe earning the France/Germany Star Medal. Albin farmed and did much carpentry work in the Grovedale area. He enjoyed playing his guitar, cross country skiing and loved working in his garden and yard. Albin loved to play cards and visit with his neighbours. Albin was predeceased by his mother Caroline, father Hjalmar, sister Swanhild and brother Arthur. He is survived by his sister Clara of Edmonton and her two daughters and family, as well as numerous friends in the Grovedale area. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 1997 at 11 a.m. from the Grovedale Community Hall with Lynwood Walker of Salvation Army officiating. He leaves to mourn his brother Colin (Sue) Johnston of Grande Prairie, Pat (Cliff) Flett of Grande Prairie, Jim (Flo) Johnston of Sparwood, B.C., Rose Johnston of Sexsmith, Alta., Dorothy (Claude) Estelle of Calgary, Josephine (John) Pearson of Manning, Alta., Delia (George) Gusulak of Manning, Edna (Rob) Shaw of Grande Prairie; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Samuel Edward Johnston Jr. in 1985, his mother Ursule Rose Johnston in 1997, one brother and one sister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the children's charity of one's choice.
