Classification: Query
I am doing family research for my wife on Peder and Merit who came from Norway to Canada in 1907 and then again in 1912 and settled with their 13 children in Sexsmith (Valhalla) north of Grand Prairie, Alberta. You can reach me at macspu42@yahoo.com if you have any family records to share or family tree established on Ancestry.com. Thanks.

Peder Nils. Løberg sailed from the city/port of Trondheim, Norway on or about 10 Oct 1907 stating his intended destination as Seattle, Washington.
He gave his year of birth as 1865 and stated that his previous residence was in Melhus district of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway.

The database of emigrants leaving from the port of Trondheim also lists this particular Peder Løberg as leaving from there at least two more times - again in 1912 (with Beritth, Sigrid, Nils, Even, Karl Johan, Ivar, and Sigvart) and in 1920 (with Karl). There is also a different Peder Løberg born about 20 years later who is recorded twice so be careful to specify such information as at least approximate birth year in queries.

1900 Norwegian census shows this child is housed with what appears to be his maternal grandfather in Melhus district.

But the majority of the family was living in Flå parish of Melhus.
