The Master Surname Index (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society shows;

Mary CREIGTHON, - 1932 (flat marker, no date) plot 4.10a
Romandy J. CREIGHTON, - 1932 (flat marker, no date) plot 4.10. Would this be your James ?
Members of the Society recorded this cemetery in 1994, it appears there was no date on the markers so those dates may have come from the cemetery records.

Mary Cochran--born 08 September 1847 in Chateauguy, C.E.-----married 24 March 1864 in Ottawa, Canada and died 07 October 1932 in Metiskow, Alberta. Romandy Creighton listed as being in the other grave in Metiskow Cemetery---is Rominda Jane Vardy, married to George Henry Creighton at L'Amable, Ontario 21 October 1883------the daughter-in-law of Mary. The James Creighton "burial record" that I seek--was born ca 1839 in Renfrew, Ontario -----

I'm sorry but I don't have an answer for your question. But we are related. Your John James Creighton (1847-1917) was the brother to my William Miller Creighton (1844-1909) . William was my great-great grandfather.

If you are interested in sharing info, please e-mail me at chesterd@telus.net. Thanks.
