Classification: Query
interestingly when Darwin Registers for WW1 in US, in 1918 his next of Abery Emery presume a father or brother, no mention of a wife. or children. He registers in Oneil Nebraska

**************************

when Leone becomes naturalized cititzen of USA she registers as

Name:Leone Marguerite Denning
[ formerly Leone Marguerite Emery]

Birth Date:11 Apr 1918

Age at Event:41

Court District:California

Date of Action:16 Oct 1959

her obit which I found a on a family tree list Darwin as step father
Leone died 1 April 1997 Cresco, Montana

her and her mother buried Conrad memorial Cemetery, Kalispell, Montana

would be interesting to read what the "commonLaw" marriage was at that time. Its possible they were not married but passed as Married

.As Darwin left both children behind, can we assume that neither are his.?

they are NOT married in 1916 and in 1918 his next of kin is Aubrey Emery.

************
another marriage

Name:Darwin C. Emery

Gender:Male

Age:59 previously married and wife deceased

Mother: Mary Wilson
